Pandora's Box (Dedicated to my Father) Pandora opened a container releasing all the miseries of mankind—greed, vanity, slander, envy, pining—leaving only hope inside. This is a bird's-eye view into that box, one of Picasso's dreams of trying to see an object from all sides.
Walter Hollien; he will always be loved; 1921-2000 may he R.I.P.
My Father; Walter Hollien passed away in 2000 from bone-marrow cancer, one of the more painful ways to go. On a scale of 1 to 10 he always said he was on a pain level of 11 or 12 and sometimes 14. Diagnosed when I was 19 and given 6 months to live my Father decided to grab a Bible, use macrobiotics and drink carrot juice every day. He was an example of not using radiation treatment and survived for another 15 years. At 19 I told him we would talk every day so there wasn't a day that would go by without one of us calling or visiting.
